Disclosure

We want you to trust our verdicts, so here's exactly how Hype or Nope works.

Our verdicts are not for sale

No company can pay for a HYPE verdict, change a NOPE, or review an article before it's published. Writers' opinions are their own.

Review copies and press access

Publishers and manufacturers sometimes give us review copies, early access or loan units. When that happens we say so in the article. Receiving a product for free does not affect the verdict.

Some articles may contain affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never decide what we cover or what verdict we give, and articles that contain affiliate links say so.

Advertising and sponsorships

Any sponsored content will be clearly labeled as sponsored and kept separate from our verdicts.

Early hype checks

Pieces about unreleased products are labeled as early takes. They judge what has been shown publicly - trailers, demos, announcements - not a final product.
